Jonny Olsen is a Canadian artist who strives to embody colour and movement in all his paintings. He calls this style 'decorative movemetism'. Within this style Jonny uses many themes such as cityscapes, abstract, realism, nudes and sculpture. Jonny's art first became known when he had an ongoing exhibit at a little bar in downtown Ottawa called the Elbow Room. The Elbow Room is gone now, but Jonny's desire to paint keeps chugging on.         While Jonny has his degree in Environmental Studies from the University of Waterloo, he spent every elective in the Fine Arts building learning how to perfect his painting talent. Jonny lives in Ottawa with his wife Alma, his daughter Gina, and his mother Sally. Jonny's newest painting entitled Sandeman is a comissioned work for his friend Brian O'Conner and his wife Dalia. The painting is a present for Dalia's birthday.
